Official ECB Exchange Rates
FX Europe uses exchange rate data published by the European Central Bank. The ECB publishes reference rates for around 30 currencies against the Euro every working day at approximately 4:00 p.m. CET.
These are reference rates — the same data used by banks, businesses, and governments across Europe. No proprietary rates, no hidden markup, no "our rate vs. the market rate" confusion.
Important: ECB reference rates are for informational purposes. They're not transaction rates — your bank or exchange service will have its own spread. But they're the best neutral benchmark available.
Currency Converter & Calculator
The main screen shows all ECB-supported currencies with rates per 1 EUR. Tap any currency pair to open the calculator for a specific conversion.

Non-EUR pairs (like USD/GBP or PLN/CZK) are calculated via the EUR cross rate. This is standard practice and clearly noted in the app.
Offline Support
Exchange rates are cached on your device automatically. When you're offline — no Wi-Fi, no mobile data, airplane mode — the app falls back to the last successfully fetched rates.
This makes FX Europe genuinely useful while traveling. Underground in the Prague metro, on a flight across Europe, or in a building with no signal — you still have a working currency converter.
The app shows when rates were last updated, so you always know how fresh the data is.
Home Screen Widgets
Add currency pair widgets to your home screen for at-a-glance rates. See EUR→PLN, GBP→CZK, or any other pair without opening the app.

24 European Languages
FX Europe is fully localized in all 24 official EU languages:
Localization covers all UI text, error messages, hints, settings, and premium copy. Number and date formatting follows your device locale automatically.
Smart Currency Ordering
The currency list learns from your usage. Currencies you tap most often automatically move to the top. If you check EUR/CZK and EUR/PLN every day, they'll be at the top of your list within a few uses. No manual configuration needed.
Privacy-First Design
FX Europe doesn't require an account. No email, no phone number, no social login. Install the app and start using it immediately.
The app uses Firebase Analytics for basic usage metrics and Google Mobile Ads for the free tier. Premium users get a completely ad-free experience. No user data is sold or shared with third parties beyond standard ad/analytics SDKs.
